Joe Augeri and Bill Howland started the
band in 1995 after answering an ad in the Austin Chronicle. Other band
members have come and gone over the years but the band has always rocked.
Our present lineup is the best ever and is getting better all the
time.
Joe Augeri
Joe
is a firefighter with the Austin
Fire Department who puts
out fires in the day and plays hot rock and roll at night. Joe has
been playing for years and previously headed up Rumble Seat in
Abilene. Joe plays lead and rhythm guitar and sings lead and backup
vocals. He is married (sorry girls) and lives in Oglesby with his
wife Patty and two daughters. Joe books the band, runs the PA and
lights and arranges the music.
Bill Howland
Bill is an
Allergist in Austin so he usually has
lots of free time to play music (like in the summer when it hasn't rained
for months and there is no pollen in the air). Bill grew up in Austin
and is playing the same songs he learned in High School before they were
considered Classic Rock and Roll. Bill plays bass and sings
lead and backup vocals. In previous bands he has played guitar,
keyboards, harmonica, fiddle, mandolin, accordion, trumpet, saxophone and
triangle (but can only remember how to play bass anymore). Bill is married with two
children and lives with his wife Cindy in Northwest Hills in Austin near his
boyhood home (which makes it easier for him to find his way home after
gigs).
J R Robinson
J R is a native Texan who has played
drums, guitar and keyboards in dixieland, jazz, punk, swing, country and
rock bands since age 9. He has worked as an engineer/composer for
video, film and sound studios He has worked with Disney, Dreamworks,
48 Hours, Foreigner, Nine Inch Nails, Matchbox 20 and others. He is Quality
Assurance Manager at Harte-Hanks, is married and has 3 sons, one dog and one cat. He is a true
G-freak (roller coaster rider and enthusiast). J R plays
hot guitar and smooth keys with Code Blue.
Jimmy Fenno
Jimmy has rejoined the band after a
tour of Russia and Eastern Europe as
drummer for the legendary W. C. Clark. Jimmy enjoyed the "on the road" life
but is glad to be grounded again in Austin. We are thrilled to have Jimmy
back with Code Blue. Jimmy has been playing drums all his life and has been
a pro since his teenage years. In addition to his world tour Jimmy has
played with numerous top bands in California, Maryland, Japan (yes Japan),
Charleston, South Carolina and numerous bands in Austin, Texas. Jimmy
teaches aspiring young drummers and sells musical instruments at Sam Bass
Music in Round Rock, Texas. He is married and has two grown sons. Jimmy
plays DW drums and Zildjian Cymbals.
Lori Flores
Lori is originally from Illinois and has
been singing all her life. While attending college she answered an ad
looking for a lead singer for a top 40 band and has been hooked on
performing ever since. She met her husband Eddie (a pro drummer)
while playing in a band in Corpus Christi. They picked up and moved to
Austin to be part of the legendary "Live Music Capital of the World". With two musical parents
both of Lori's daughters are likely to become musicians as well. Lori
has a beautiful voice and really entertains whether she is ripping a hot
rock song or crooning a ballad.
John Grimball
John is an artist and musician who was born on the bayou
into a musical
family. Growing up in the Lake Charles, Louisiana area he spiced his guitar
licks (and Gumbo) at an early age playing blues, rock, country and cajun
music. John has played lead, rhythm, and bass guitar in bands located in
Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, opened shows for Canned Heat, ZZ Top and has
recorded on the Republic Records label. John has worked for years as a
Graphic Designer, Art Director and is the Business Development Director for
Aus-Tex Printing and Mailing here in Austin.
